Websites Parents Should Block

We released an article titled 8 Apps Parents Should Know About and received such big feedback, we put together a list of WEBSITES parents should know about and block. Please note, this is obviously not an exhaustive list, but these are all very popular sites.

The following sites currently have the most child-dense audiences on the internet as compared to other sites. Your children most likely have come in contact with other kids that have heard of these sites, or use them.

Chatroulette

Chatroulette is a video chat site that connects strangers together in chatrooms. There are no age verification checks. In fact, one news outlet made this statement:

"Parents should keep all their children off the site because it's much too dangerous for children. It's a predator's paradise. This is one of the worst faces of the internet that I've seen. It's disconnecting human relationships rather than connecting them."

Common Sense Media reviewed the platform and found it to be one of the most inappropriate websites on the internet.

Omegle

Same premise as Chatroulette. Both sites lack monitoring mechanisms.

ROBLOX

Roblox allows users to create their own games. There have been documented accounts of children being exposed to sexually explicit content through this platform. They boast 54 million users daily worldwide, yet there are not adequate content restrictions in place.
