I Am Accountable
What does it mean to be accountable? It means being responsible for your actions, your choices, and your follow through.
A student with a Black Belt Heart understands that their behavior is their responsibility. They do not pass the blame or make excuses. Instead, they admit when they mess up, they follow through on what they said they would do, and they accept the outcome of their choices.
Accountability shows up when things get tough, like when we make a mistake or when we are tempted to point fingers at someone else. It also shows up when we need to rebuild trust or own up to a choice that had consequences.
But being accountable is powerful. It helps us grow, earn respect, and become the kind of person others can count on. Whether it is on the mat, at school, or at home, accountability is a key part of having a Black Belt Heart.
"I am accountable!"
"I am in charge of me!"
