“Boards Don’t Hit Back”

We hear that a lot…

“boards don’t hit back”.

There was a time that we would get incredibly frustrated by that statement. Actually, we would get mad.

Then we realized, the people who say that… just don’t get it.

The majority of the time they have actually never done it themselves. And if you really think about it, the broken bones, severed Achilles’ tendons and countless stitches I’ve walked away with from breaking would be an argument for the contrary…

but, that’s another story.

The end of this clip is what it’s all about. The PERSONAL victory. You’ve probably all heard some version of the quote, “do something today that will make you proud tomorrow”. THIS is something that you can do today, and replay on the hard days.

“I’ve done that… I can do this.”

“I was afraid then, I can keep going now.”

Pushing through the unknown and hitting it anyway… that’s what breaking is about.

The challenge.
